None of this is a criticism of VMKey — it's a genuinely clever answer to a hostile platform, and for console-only players it's one of the few purpose-built options that exists. Where each approach wins
The bridge wins when the console is non-negotiable
If you play exclusively on PlayStation, Xbox or Switch, your squad already coordinates on Discord, and you want a changed voice today, VMKey is a working solution you can buy right now. Dubbing's console and VR headset support is planned for the end of August 2026 — but planned is not shipped, and we won't pretend otherwise.
