Are the earbuds wireless?

Dubbing Earbuds use wired USB-C audio and have no battery to charge. The Dubbing AI device connection is separate from ordinary Bluetooth headset audio pairing.

Is there any delay when voice changing?

There is a small processing delay of about 300 ms, which feels natural for gaming, streaming, and voice chat. Exact latency depends on your phone's performance — newer phones run it more smoothly.

Does voice changing need an internet connection?

Yes. The voice model runs on your phone, and Dubbing AI must stay running with the phone online throughout changing. Processed sound goes to the earbuds and returns through USB-C microphone input. Without the voice-changing feature they work as ordinary wired earbuds; calls still require phone service.

Do I need a Dubbing AI subscription to use the hardware?

No. Both devices work with the free tier of the Dubbing AI app — 8 built-in voices out of the box. A paid plan only unlocks the full 500+ voice library and pro features.

Which one should I buy?

Dubbing Earbuds if you want a single mobile-first device with mic, drivers, and voice engine bundled in one USB-C cable. Dubbing Box if you already own a wired gaming headset and want to use it on consoles and VR headsets.

Are the voices the same across both devices?

Yes. Both are driven by the same Dubbing AI voice engine, so the 500+ voices you use on desktop sound identical on the hardware. Switch devices without re-learning presets.
